This is what’s come too… For the whole world it seems. Mother nature has sent us to our room and we’re not allowed to come out until we behave again. Or something to that effect.

All jokes aside, what a crazy few weeks it’s been. I hope everyone is safe in their houses and finding ways to pass the time. I myself have been struggling at times, being locked up. Although I don’t also have to keep kinds entertained! Still, it’s going to be a long end of March and beginning of April, and  here in Buenos Aires we’re all hoping we can all come out of this okay in a month! In the meantime, though, I thought I’d put together just a few activities you can do to keep entertained.

Friends & Family

For starters, it’s a great idea for everyone to take this time to catch up with friends and family you haven’t connected with in a while. With so much time on your hands, why not take a little of it each day calling someone you’ve been meaning to catch up with. And once you run out of those, some of us have already started making group calls to catch up with friends for a beer, only that remotely!

Yoga & Fitness

Keeping on the online theme, there’s a bunch of online yoga courses you can take. One of the most famous (and free) is Yoga with Adriene. You can find her on YouTube, with yoga and meditation courses for every sort of person.

Or if yoga isn’t your thing, many personal trainers around the globe are now offering online classes you can connect into right from your laptop, and many for free as well. Also, some groups of friends are creating daily workout challenges with goals and videos to keep them honest.

Online Courses

And of course probably the most practical way of using your time is to take an online course. If you’re going to be stuck inside for days on end, why not? Especially if you’ve been meaning to learn a language!

Our Spanish school remains helping our students to take Spanish lessons over Skype or Zoom or an e-learning platform to ensure practicing and expanding vocabulary, conversation and grammar. So keep it up!
